Although
they probably won’t admit
it, but the Ordinary Boys big break came following media coverage
the lead singer, Samuel Preston, received when taking part in Celebrity
Big Brother n January 2006.
This caused the sales of the band's albums to soar and making the
single ‘Boys
will be Boys’ rise from position 33 to 3 in four weeks.
Formed in 2002 in Worthing, the group were originally named Next in
Line. They based their style on 1980s bands, such as The Specials,
Morrisey and The Smiths- their name coming from a Morrisey single.
The band has made some original songs including ‘Maybe Someday’, ‘Talk
Talk Talk’, ‘Seaside’ and ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ from
on their debut album. ‘Over the Counter Culture’ was featured
in the soundtrack for Burnout 3: Takedown.
